About Three Oaks Engineering
Our History
Three Oaks Engineering was founded in 2014 by consulting engineering professionals with a desire to create the kind of workplace where they wanted to work, with a focus on helping clients accomplish infrastructure projects with careful consideration of community and environmental needs. The company would be a sustainable partner in the community, while providing employees the flexibility to balance business and family responsibilities.
In 2015, The Catena Group joined Three Oaks, expanding the company’s offerings to include a broad range of environmental work, including specialized threatened and endangered species surveys, ecological/habitat evaluations, wetland and stream delineations, and environmental permitting.
Three Oaks has since grown to 40 staff across three offices – American Tobacco Campus in Durham (headquarters), Centennial Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Columbia (West Cayce), South Carolina.
With experience on a wide range of projects across the Southeast, coupled with a positive approach and commitment to each client, Three Oaks offers superior, cost-effective, and efficient services.
The company has been recognized for its sustainability practices and is a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) with the North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia state departments of transportation.
